Introduction
Is
This Book for You?
Have
you ever sat at a piano and struck a single note? Any note
on the keyboard sounds good by itself. The more additional
notes you strike, the more complex the sound. When compatible
notes are added, the harmony they create is pleasing, enjoyable,
exciting. However, certain additions can grate on the nerves
because all notes are not in harmony with one another. Interestingly
enough, a note that clashes with one is a perfect companion
for other notes on the keyboard. It's the combinations that
matter; it's the combinations that either blend or irritate.
People
are like that. Some are in harmony with you; some aren't.
And, there is little you can do to change life's harmonics;
you simply learn to choose notes that harmonize with yours.
Many people have trouble achieving harmony in their lives
because they aren't exactly certain what their individual
note is. Once they learn it and sound it loud and clear, others
that harmonize will ring out in response.
That's
the way it was meant to be, and learning to accept and use
this law of nature to your advantage can make an incredible
difference in every aspect of your life. You don't have to
alter your note in order to harmonize; you don't have to fake
a sound that isn't yours. The goal of this book is to help
you find, accept, and sound your note in a way that pleases
you and draws to you the conditions and people who can make
your life a satisfying and much richer experience. If that's
what you are looking for, please read on; this book was written
for you.
I call
learning to accept and use this natural law The Harmonious
Way. It is a path you can successfully follow in several aspects
of your life. While, most of the book focuses on finding a
love partner who is right for you, you can also follow The
Harmonious Way when selecting friends, when dealing with family,
and when selecting your career or refocusing the one you now
have. If, say, achieving harmony in your career or friendships
is your sole reason for reading this book, I encourage you
to read more than the section dedicated to the subject of
chief interest to you. I make this recommendation because
the chapter on career, friends, and family builds on the information
and concepts covered in the earlier chapters. So, I hope you
will read it all and in sequence, in order to get the big
picture, concerning where The Harmonious Way can lead you.
Now, let's start finding the harmonies for your life's note.
